The following students are among the nearly 1,500 Bob Jones University students named to the Dean's List for grades achieved during the Fall 2012 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a 3.0 GPA.

Dr. Nayef H. Samhat delivered his first commencement address since becoming Wofford College's president at the 160th Commencement Exercises on Sunday, May 18, 2014. Degrees were conferred to about 360 graduates. Samhat became president in July 2013 and his inauguration was held April 25 of this year.

Caitlin Mazurek, a Saginaw Valley State University exercise science student from Grand Blanc, this month earned two bronze medals in a national jiu-jitsu competition. She earned the medals during the North American Grappling Association (NAGA) competition in Southfield on May 10, in the women's beginning no gi flyweight division and women's beginner gi flyweight division.

The University of Findlay announces Merit Scholarship awards, which are based on a student's final, cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) and ACT/SAT scores. Scholarships are awarded beginning with the freshman year and are renewable for up to four years (for a total of five years of scholarship aid). Merit scholarships for transfer students are based on the student's GPA from all previous college-level institutions.

The National Society of Leadership and Success is an organization that fosters leadership in part by hosting seminars for universities nationally while also connecting members from chapters at 417 institutions across the United States.

The University of Findlay announces the newest Oilers for the 2014-2015 academic year (as of April 1, 2014).

Several BJU students competed and placed in the National Association of Teachers of Singing competition held at the University of South Carolina. Winners advance to the regional competition in Greensboro, N.C. April 4-5.

Many Stonehill College students will be spending their spring break week helping those in need as part of the school's H.O.P.E. Alternative Spring Break Program. The Saginaw Valley State University theatre department will present the play, "Death of a Salesman," April 10-14. The play will be performed to the public at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10 through Saturday, April 13, and Sunday, April 14 at 3 p.m. in the Malcolm Field Theatre for Performing Arts.This play is a great example of "Classic American Theatre". It focuses on the inability to realize the American Dream. Arthur Miller is the author and it's directed by Steven C. Erickson.
